Adding/Updating Bank Details (Individual)

How to add or update the bank account where you receive Payouts as an Individual.

Follow these steps to add or update the bank account where you receive your Payouts as an Individual.


Regional Restrictions

If your Gigapay account is in the EU/SEPA region, you can only receive Payouts to bank accounts within the EU/SEPA region. The same applies for accounts outside the EU/SEPA region.


Step 1: Log in to Gigapay

Access your account at app.gigapay.com.


Step 2: Navigate to Payment Methods

You can update your payment method in two places:

  • From Settings: Click your profile icon in the top right corner (desktop) or bottom right (mobile), then go to Settings. Scroll to the Payment Methods section.

  • From a Payout: When viewing a Payout, click Change next to the Payment Method in the Personal Information section.


Step 3: Select Your Payment Method

Click Change to open the payment method editor. As an Individual, the following methods are available:

Swish (Sweden Only)

  • Enter your phone number connected to Swish.

  • Your Swish number must match the Personal Identity Number linked to your Gigapay account. If they do not match, your Payout cannot be processed.

  • Swish Payouts are typically instant.

IBAN Transfer (EU/SEPA)

  • Enter your IBAN (International Bank Account Number).

  • Enter your BIC (Bank Identifier Code / SWIFT code).

  • Enter the account holder name exactly as it appears on your bank account.

  • Optionally enter an email for transfer notifications.

  • Select your preferred currency.

  • Processing time: 1 to 3 business days.

Finding your IBAN and BIC: You can find these on your bank statement, in your online banking app, or by contacting your bank. An IBAN typically starts with a two-letter country code (e.g., SE for Sweden, DE for Germany).

PayPal

  • Enter your PayPal email address.

  • Select your preferred currency.

  • Processing time: typically within 1 business day.

  • PayPal can only be used with the Now (Self-billing) Payout option.

Bank Transfer, Australia (BBA)

  • Enter your Account number.

  • Enter your BSB code (Bank State Branch code, 6 digits).

  • Enter the account holder name.

  • Select your preferred currency.

Bank Transfer, USA

  • Enter your Account number.

  • Enter your Routing number (9 digits, ABA routing number).

  • Enter the account holder name.

  • Select your Account type: Checking or Savings.

Bank Transfer, Canada

  • Enter your Account number.

  • Enter your Institution number (3 digits).

  • Enter your Transit number (5 digits).

  • Enter the account holder name.


Step 4: Save Your Details

Review all entered information carefully, then click Save.

Double-check before saving:

  • Verify your IBAN or account number digit by digit.

  • Make sure the account holder name matches your bank records exactly.

  • Incorrect details will cause Payout delays or failed transfers.


Payment Options

Now (Self-billing)

Gigapay creates the Invoice for you and processes your Payout within a few days. A 4% fee applies. All payment methods above are available.

Early Pay

Some Clients offer Early Pay, which allows you to receive your Payout before the scheduled due date. An 8% fee applies. Early Pay is only available when the Payout due date is 7 or more days away. All payment methods above are available with Early Pay.

How Early Pay works: When you open a Payout with Early Pay available, you will see two options: "Get Paid Today" (Early Pay) or "Standard Payment" (wait for the due date). If you choose Early Pay, the 8% fee is deducted from your net amount.


Common Issues

"My Swish Payout failed."

  • Your Swish number must be connected to the same Personal Identity Number (personnummer) linked to your Gigapay account.

  • Make sure Swish is activated with your bank.

"IBAN is not accepted."

  • Check that the IBAN starts with the correct country code.

  • Remove any spaces or dashes.

  • Make sure the BIC matches a valid bank.

"My Payout has not arrived."

  • Swish: Should be instant. If not received within a few hours, contact support.

  • IBAN: Allow 1 to 3 business days.

  • PayPal: Allow up to 1 business day.

  • Bank transfer (US/Canada/AU): Allow 2 to 5 business days.
