How to Add a Single Recipient

Steps to invite a single recipient to your Gigapay account

Invite a single recipient to Gigapay so you can start sending them payouts.

Step 1: Go to Recipients

Navigate to Recipients from the navigation bar.

Step 2: Click "Invite new recipients"

Click the Invite new recipients button at the top of the page. A side panel opens with the invitation form.

Step 3: Enter Recipient Details

Fill in the following fields:

  • Recipient name (required)

  • Email (required, or phone number)

  • Phone number (optional, with country code)

  • Country (defaults to Sweden if not specified)

πŸ’‘ Why we need this: We use these details to send the recipient an invitation to create their Gigapay account and complete onboarding.

Step 4: Send the Invitation

Click Send invitation to invite the recipient. They will receive an email with instructions to create their Gigapay account.

A confirmation message "New invitation sent" appears when the invitation is sent successfully.

Recipient Statuses

After inviting, recipients move through these statuses:

  • Pending: Recipient has been created but the invitation has not been sent yet.

  • Invited: Invitation email has been sent. You will see how long ago the invitation was sent (for example, "3 days").

  • Onboarding: Recipient has started creating their account but has not finished yet.

  • Active: Recipient has completed onboarding and is ready to receive payouts.

Common Issues

"The email already exists in the system."

  • Another recipient in your account already uses this email address. Check your existing recipients list.

"The cellphone number already exists in the system."

  • A recipient with this phone number is already in your account.
